Army Man” 50x70, Print, 2011

Heavy Museum

The Heavy Museum 2011 has an obvious reference to archaeology and museology .The installation includes works from unbaked clay and plaster, such as chapels, sculptures, and a series of gilded panels. Projects mimic ancient museum exhibits in shape, material, and construction methods, as museum copies, yet imitating the ancient only in terms of form and the technicality. At the same time, the objects are contemporary; fiction is autonomous and defined by the artist. The sculptures are located on the border between copy and authenticity; museum copies and original works of art.
